SIP connections
A SIP connection points Live Hub at a SIP trunk, contact center, UC platform or recording server you already run, so calls can pass between it and your bots.
Trial plan accounts can hold up to two SIP connections. See Account plans.
Provider types
You select a provider type first, on the wizard's General tab, and then select a provider within that type:
| Provider type | What it connects | Where to go |
|---|---|---|
| SIP Trunk | a carrier's SIP trunk | below |
| Contact Center | a contact center platform | below |
| UC Platform | a unified communications platform | below |
| Client Applications | a call button in your own web page or mobile app | Click-to-call (WebRTC) |
| Recording Servers | a third-party recording or voice biometrics server | Connect a recording server (SIPREC) |
The tabs the wizard shows depend on the provider type. A recording server has nothing to receive calls on, for example, so it has no Incoming or Numbers tab:
| Provider type | Tabs |
|---|---|
| SIP Trunk, Contact Center, UC Platform | General, Incoming, Outgoing, Numbers, Advanced, Info |
| Client Applications | General, Incoming, Numbers, Advanced, Info |
| Recording Servers | General, Outgoing, Advanced, Info |
Choose your provider
Live Hub is pre-integrated with a range of vendors. Selecting one narrows the wizard to the few settings that vendor needs, and each vendor has an interop guide of its own. See Interop configuration.
If your provider is not among them, select the generic option for its type: Generic SIP Trunk, Generic Contact Center, or Generic Unified-Communication Platform. See Create a generic SIP connection.
The generic options expose every parameter, so they assume you are comfortable with SIP and Voice-over-IP. Contact AudioCodes support if you need help.
Once the connection exists, a routing rule is what joins it to a bot. See Manage SIP connections for editing, testing and deleting a connection.
Live Hub can capture SIP header values such as UCID as tags and store them in the CDR's
CustomizedInfo field. Contact AudioCodes support to enable it. See
Call detail fields.
